Conferences, presentations and more than 750 bilateral meetings between railway organizations and companies from 30 countries, during three intense days in June.
This could be, broadly speaking, the summary of the highlights of the V International Railway Convention of the Spanish Railway Association, MAFEX, which took place from June 15 to 17 in Seville, under the sponsorship of Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos, S.A., among other companies.
Amurrio is a founding member of MAFEX, and is part of its steering committee. The convention was also supported by ICEX and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
The aim of this biannual meeting is to analyze the projects and investments planned in countries that are committed to rail as a means of transport, and to present the technological advances developed in our country.
The day of the 15th was focused on the Middle East and Africa, with a panel also reserved for Europe. The second day was dedicated to the rail markets of Africa and America. In addition, the railway plans of Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia were presented.
It is worth highlighting the magnificent organization of this 5th edition of the event, in which everything was on time and on target. Special mention should be made of the complicated travel logistics, which were handled with great flexibility and exemplary efficiency.
